Pursuing Your Passion and Purpose and Turning Your Spirituality Into Your Career

If you aspire to have a spiritually-based career or begin a heart-based service whereby you are helping others and bringing enlightenment, healing and love to the world, be encouraged to follow your passion. It is a sign of your destiny and soul path – and it is time to begin!

Each person has a personal soul mission or life purpose. This mission is something you agreed to undertake and learn during this lifetime prior to incarnating. Lessons may include such themes as learning to be compassionate, self-reliant, a leader, or about forgiveness, patience or sharing with others. There is any number of these soul growth lessons for us to learn and each of us has our own set of life themes and lessons.

In addition to their own personal soul missions, some people agreed to take on a ‘global’ or ‘Universal’ mission which may involve helping other people, the environment, campaigning passionately about a cause or two (or more), helping and caring for animals and/or working for humanity’s benefit in general. These souls/people are known by a variety of names such as Lightworkers, Star Seeds, Earth Angels, Indigos and Crystals amongst others. They come in the form of healers, teachers, authors and speakers, whose primary goal is to enlighten and assist others

When you are a lightworker your higher-self and soul KNOW you are, whether your conscious mind realizes it (yet) or not. Lightworkers, Star Seeds, Earth Angels etc feel a sense of purpose, a compulsion to help others and have a genuine love of the world and all it encompasses. They naturally attract people in need of help and are innately sensitive to the needs of others. At times they may feel overwhelmed by others’ energies as they are so sensitive and/or empathic.

Lightworkers are aware that there is something important that they are destined to do during their lifetime. Although they may not be sure of what they may entail exactly, they know within that they will be shown and guided in Divine right time. For some there may be a sense of urgency, as though there is so much to do but not enough time to do it all. Follow this urge and get on with ii.

The main soul or life purpose of lightworkers is to extend and send out Divine love and healing. Radiating this healing light and energy naturally brings peace and love wherever they go. All that a lightworker does is done with Divine unconditional love.

Whether you are a spiritual teacher, life coach, author, speaker, healer or any other spiritual facilitator, the most necessary ingredient is that Divine spark of love infused with and into your work.

When considering your spiritually-based profession or career take a look at your true passions. You may need to define your particular niche so have a look at your hobbies, your beliefs and values and WHO you really are.

What topics truly excite and motivate you? What are you naturally/Divinely good at? Are you a talented writer, a brilliant public speaker or are you naturally drawn towards the healing arts? Maybe you are a dab-hand at all of them. What is your topic or focus? What will you teach, write or speak about?

Listen to your intuition, inner-voice and your heart. Listen to your Higher-Self as it already knows. Your feelings, when beginning or pursuing a career within the spiritual professions, is your best guide.

Make sure you put your heart and soul into your work. Being genuinely passionate about what you do keeps the momentum and enthusiasm flowing.

SELF CONFIDENCE, FAITH AND TRUST
That compulsive urge and/or dream of becoming a spiritual facilitator is much more than just an idea - it is a sign.

Often what holds many back from pursuing a spiritually-based career is a ‘fear’ of lack. The questions raised may be along the lines of "how will I be able to support myself and my family financially?" "If I quit my day job will I be able to survive financially?" "What would people think and say?"

Many people hesitate becoming public speakers, healers and teachers due to fear of ridicule, rejection and/or ostracism. Yes, there will be those who will criticize and judge you - but that happens regardless of whatever path you take, and there will always be those who dwell in the negative. Continue along your path regardless. Don’t listen to nay-sayers or negative, unsupportive people.

These are common stumbling blocks - but ones which can be overcome with a little faith and trust in the Universe. When you are undertaking your true soul mission, TRUST that all you need will come to you in Divine right time. You will attract the people who you are to work with, the appropriate clients or students and the appropriate environment/s.

When we love our work everything else falls into place. When you genuinely love what you do your main focus is not money-based but rather love-based - and the Universe will take care of the rest.

"When a man is willing and eager, the gods join in."
- Aeschylus

So, becoming a ‘professional’ spiritual worker entails being paid appropriately and fairly. Many lightworkers have trouble accepting money for the work they do. The idea is uncomfortable to them as their only desire is to shed their Divine love and light.

Consciously, money doesn’t enter into it. Those who are uncomfortable with the idea of accepting payment for spiritual work are often those who subconsciously recall past lives when many lived in communal or kibbutz type settings. In those times all food and shelter was provided for them, leaving one free to focus on their spiritual practice without concern for the need to derive an income.

In today’s world though, we need an income to pay our bills, rent, mortgage, transportation and day to day living expenses. How can you expect to run a business (and your life) without the appropriate resources?

People around the world go off to their ‘jobs’ everyday with the knowledge that they will be paid for their efforts. Why should it be any different for you? Many people are paid an hourly rate or a salary for the work they do - that’s why they go to work. Why should that be any different for those who work in the spiritual fields? Your payment for the work you do is no different to that of any other healer, such as nurses, doctors and the like.

Making money from the work you do is in line with the Universal Spiritual Law of Giving and Receiving. The energy and vibration of your intentions will dictate the viability of your spiritual endeavour. If you enter a spiritually-based career with the sole intent of making money and/or finding fame, then you are most likely to fail. It is appropriate to earn an income from your spiritual work, but it can not be your main focal point.

Some lightworkers suffer from being shy, timid, lack self-confidence and/or are indecisive. This is ‘fear’ based and may stop them in their tracks. This is where the Universal Spiritual Law of Action comes into play. This law states that when you take action in the direction of your soul purpose (no matter how small that step may be) the Universe will take greater action in your desired direction, supporting your goal and encouraging further positive action on your behalf.

By taking action in the direction of your aspirations you are making a commitment to yourself and something that is of the utmost importance to you - and is of benefit to the world around you. That action step can be large or small – it doesn’t matter as long as it is a positive step forward. The Universe reacts and responds to your intentions so any step or action you take in the direction of becoming and ‘being’ a professional spiritual healer/teacher/writer/speaker will be a declaration of your intentions. Trust the Universe to open the right doors for you.

So it’s time to take action – NOW!

The best and most authentic way to teach (in all its’ forms) is to live your life in accordance with your principles and values. Live your life as a role model of what you are teaching. Walk your talk and talk your walk.

Allow people to familiarize themselves with you prior to booking an appointment. This can be achieved in many ways such as by writing an article for a metaphysical/New Age magazine in print or on the internet; set up a website or blog and write a short biography about yourself and the services you offer; organize and run a workshop; use word-of-mouth, and of course, keep a positive attitude and focus. The Universe will respond in kind by providing your audience.

Visualize yourself living your spiritual career right now. Bring it into the present rather than some far-flung time in the future. Visualizing it happening in the future rather than in the present keeps it in the future. Visualizations and affirmations are very powerful tools to utilize when bringing your dreams to fruition. Affirming your intentions is an integral part of engaging the laws of the Universe. Visualizing, affirming and taking action steps bring the reality of your successful and fulfilling spiritual practice to the forefront, in the present moment. Declare it to the Universe today.

Present yourself and your spiritual services to the public and have faith and trust that the Universe will send you appropriate opportunities.

When you put your efforts, heart and soul into giving someone a spiritual reading, a healing, running a workshop or giving a counselling session, it is appropriate that you receive something in exchange. This is important in regards to living a balanced life.

When you give, give, give and keep giving of yourself your energies become depleted and enthusiasm and passion wain. It is vital to balance the ‘giving’ with an equal measure of ‘receiving’. This is a need of basic human life. Do not deny yourself what you deserve and require as this is undermining yourself in every way.

If you only give out and do not allow yourself to receive, eventually you will begin to have feelings of resentment, of being bound, burnt-out and drained of energy. Deep down you’ll wish that others would acknowledge and fulfil your needs - but if you do not clearly stipulate those needs, then others will be unaware of them. This can become an on-going cycle, therefore it is important for all involved to be clear on what is required on behalf of both parties.

When someone requests a reading or appointment with you, make sure that you are clear about your needs (eg. Fees). If they choose not to book because they do not wish to pay a fee for your services, that is their choice. Do NOT sell yourself short.

On the flip-side, many people want to pay you for your services. They are thankful for and appreciate your loving help, guidance and/or healing, and genuinely wish to reward you. Not accepting their ‘gift of exchange’ can be seen as a bit of a rebuff and may lead your client or student to feel unnecessarily indebted to you. They may even feel ‘guilty’ about taking from you and not being able to give back in return.

By accepting payment for your spiritual services you and your client/student are performing a balanced exchange of energy. The giving of yourself is balanced out by receiving the payment. Your client values your services as in order to have received them they have had to exchange something of value.

When you accept payment for your services you are being supported. The income allows you to focus and devote more of your time and efforts to your spiritual practice. If you do not accept payment and cannot derive an appropriate income you will be needing to spend your valuable time and energy at a job to earn money. This detracts from your soul purpose.

Of course there will always be the odd occasion when your soul urges you to help, guide and/or heal, with payment being irrelevant. You’ll intuitively know when these situations arise and will proceed accordingly. Although no payment may change hands, you’ll be racking up some bonus good karma along the way.

It is of the utmost importance to yourself, your clients/students and your spiritual practice that you receive with thanks and gratitude.

**
Your purpose and soul mission as a spiritual practitioner (in all forms) is a life-long commitment - one that will bring healing, joy and rewards to yourself, others and the world. Along the way you will be sharing and sending out blessings, love and light to all ...

LIVE and LOVE your spiritual career today!

YOUR LIFE PURPOSE and SOUL MISSION

Each of us was born with a unique purpose to fulfil and path to follow.  Our soul’s mission is our life’s ‘calling’.  This is our ‘dharma’ or Divine plan for our soul. Our dharma is our reason for being.

Many people don’t have the faintest idea of what their mission or purpose actually is.

To find out begin my asking yourself:

- What is my passion?  What am I passionate about?  What do I love to do?  What truly really makes me happy?

You will recognize your passion because it will ignite a feeling of excitement within your heart and soul. It makes you feel enthusiastic, energized and alive.

Pursuing your soul’s passion will not always be easy though and at times it can feel like a quite a roller-coaster ride, and invariably, it takes hard work.  But – if we do not accept the challenge, then we’ve betrayed ourselves, our own souls.

Your mission is not necessarily your job or occupation. Your soul mission doesn’t have to be what you do for a living, to earn an income. It may be something you do after work hours, on the weekends or in your spare time. Your mission may have nothing to do with what you do, but rather, what and who you are.

Our mission involves utilizing and perfecting the talents that are within our soul, and to share those talents and the highest and truest parts of ourselves with others.

It is our spiritual duty to pursue our mission  -  and as our soul develops, so does our mission.

Discover Your Soul’s Mission

Ask yourself the following questions, and answer honestly.  Allow your heart to speak to you  -  and listen as the answers come to your naturally.  Ask for Divine direction and be open to all possibilities.

Ask yourself:

- Am I happy with the direction in which my life is headed?
- Am I happy with how I spend my time?
- What are my greatest talents?
- How can I refine and perfect it?
- What talent or skill can I share with others?
- How can I share that skill and talent with others?
- How can I use this talent to earn an income in order to enable me to devote my time and efforts towards it?
- What would make me happiest?
- What is my PASSION?

Listen closely to your heart’s answers and trust your Higher Self.

OUR LIFE PURPOSE

At some point during our lifetime our soul prompts us to ask “What is my purpose on Earth?”

We start looking for answers as our curiosity grows. We all come to earth to fulfill a great number of tasks.  We have a responsibility towards the material world and we have to fulfill it.  We are to meet the challenges that confront us in our daily lives, and overcome them.  However, don’t forget that we have a soul that needs nurturing.  In order for us to be able to keep up with our daily worldly activities we must learn to receive guidance from our souls.

There are three elements in a human:   Body, Mind and Soul
All three must be nurtured and encouraged.

Material and Spiritual Love
We come to earth to experience the different facets of love.  The entire Universe revolves around various forms of love.  The more affection we bring into our existence, the more we will receive it in our lives.  Love starts in the physical realm, then blossoms into the spiritual realm.  Before we can experience spiritual bliss we must experience love on a smaller human scale.

Forgiveness
If you are looking for a way to encourage your spiritual growth, within your soul you have an instrument to do so.  It is called ‘forgiveness’.

Sooner or later we have to learn to forgive.  A means to encourage your spiritual growth dramatically is to forgive. The wheel of Karma turns forever.

The Law of Karma states that every action has a consequence.  One way to escape from the tedious cycle of cause and effect is to use the power of forgiveness.  First we must accept and forgive all the harm that has been done to us in the past.  Do not continue the cycle by responding angrily to the individual/s who mistreated you.

The Law of Karma
Karma means ‘action’.

The Law of Karma is a Universal system that is based on the concept of cause and effect.  The law of physics states that every action produces an equal reaction.  The Law of Karma works on the same principle.  Positive karma encourages progress of the soul, and negative karma hinders the progress of the soul.  Karma can also mean the choices and/or decisions that one makes through free will.

Throughout our lifetime (as well as our previous lifetimes) we are engaged in a series of choices.  There are really only two options:  either we make a positive choice or we make a negative choice.  We are tested in a wide variety of contexts.  We make choices involving our family situations, our physical bodies, our career and so on.

After a choice has been made the results of that choice are apparent at various intervals.  Many of the results will be witnessed in this lifetime;  other outcomes will not be witnessed in this life.  The laws of nature decide when and how we will witness the results of our actions. Some choices we make affect us individually, but we also make choices that affect others.  We are constantly making individual choices that affect our body, mind and soul.

Every choice that we make that involves another individual directly affects our own soul.  When we make a decision that relates to another person, we may not immediately see its results.  However, as soon as that action takes place, it is recorded.

Many of the decisions we make are complex.  There are rarely simple cases of ‘wrong’ and ‘right’ or black and white.  If all decisions were simple we would all be enlightened and the Law of Karma would cease to exist.  The critical factor is our intentions.

No matter what decision/s we make, if our intentions are good we are heading in the right direction.

All souls in this world must rectify and learn from the choices we have made.  Certain souls are given the opportunity to make choices that affect a large number of people (for example, a political leader).  As a result, that person’s karma is connected to all affected by his or her decision.  If a decision is made with good intentions, even if they present obstacles, our soul will immediately grow as a result of considering and helping others.

The principles of Karma do not only apply to one lifetime.  It is an eternal system of debits and credits;  an invisible bank account with multiple transactions.  All the circumstances that we encounter in this lifetime as a result of choices from past lives are pre-destined.  All the choices you make in this lifetime from the time you are born, are products of your free will.

It is important for us to realize that free will and predestination play a role in the growth of our soul, and we must be open to both aspects.

The purpose of our lives is to balance our karma and learn from our life lessons.

Your Life Mission - The Purpose of Your Life

In order to awaken your true life’s purpose you need to be ready to accept ‘change’.  Change may come in the form of a change in consciousness, a change in belief-sets and/or thought-patterns, a distinct career change, a change in lifestyle choices.

Most of us have asked the question in one way or another, “What should I be doing with my lifeWhat’s my purpose?”

This is not an easy question ....

To find your answers:
·
            Listen to your intuition.
.
Still your thinking, analytical mind.    Listen.
Everyone has an inner-voice that acts as our internal radar system and guide.  We just have to listen to it and trust it in order to be led by it successfully.

Feelings and messages about our purpose and passion often come as a gnawing thought or a reminder of what sparks your interests and what is important to you.  Sometimes some sort of serendipitous situation or event will take place in order to jolt your hidden personal passions and purpose.

Ask yourself:  ‘What makes me happy?’  -  and answer honestly.

Take the opportunity to really analyse your happiness.

What brings you true Joy?    Write a list ... you may see a trend develop.
What is stopping you from pursuing your joys and turning them into a life purpose or mission?

If you are spending a great deal of your time doing menial tasks, working at a job you loathe or living in a way that is unfulfilling for you, recognise and acknowledge this  –  then be ready for change.

Think about what frustrates you, what excites you, what motivates you, what disinterests you.  Take conscious note of your reactions as these may indicate where your true purpose lies.

Ask yourself what you love to do, what you love about yourself, what you love about your life.

Ask yourself what is really important to you?  What ‘causes’ do you lean towards?  What and/or who inspires you?

How could you make a positive difference to the world for yourself and others?  When we live our passions and life purposes we are fulfilled, satisfied and happy.  This positive vibration spreads and reverberates to every corner of your life and serves as an example for others to follow.

Trust yourself to make the right choices for YOU.  Listen to your inner-voice  –  then trust it.

Sometimes your inner voice may lead you along a path that could bring you great personal joy and fulfilment, but may seem a little unorthodox, unsuited or inappropriate to family, friends or peers in their view and judgement.  Sometimes finding and living your purpose could mean going against the wishes or advice of others, particularly that of close friends and family.  Be true to yourself regardless.  Walk your own path.

Make your decisions based upon your own personal truths  -  no one else’s.  Have faith and trust in your dreams and follow their lead.

Patience is an important key.  Finding your life’s purpose may take time to discover and nurture.  Trust that everything happens in divine right timing.

If you are feeling unfulfilled and know there is ‘more to life’ out there for you, take the time, patience and commitment to find your true life purpose.  Once you find your passion and begin to live your purpose, it will be well worth it for you for the rest of your life.

"When a man is willing and eager, the gods join in."

Lightworkers & Lightworking

As spiritual beings in a human existence, we each have a life purpose or soul mission to complete in our life. It is the reason we incarnate on the Earth plane.

As lightworkers we specifically volunteered to be here during the most crucial of Earth’s times before and after the year 2000, in a concerted effort to spread our loving energies in order to dissipate destructive and negative mass consciousness. Many lightworkers are on the Earth plane at this time with the specific purpose of using our knowledge of healing to teach, counsel, write, heal and enlighten others.

As lightworkers our most vital contributions to the planet Earth and its inhabitants are done on a mental and spiritual plane. Consequently, if a lightworker frets over a world problem or issue and becomes frustrated because of a feeling of being unable to contribute positively through ‘bodily’ efforts, those thoughts and feelings thwart their healing abilities. The fretting adds fuel to the mass world consciousness of fear.

In the case of terrorists, rapists and murderers, criminals, rather than succumbing to human feelings of fear, disgust, rejection and hate, a lightworker must focus and send love, light and healing to the perpetrator. To feel and send negative energies only fosters and grows more negatively, feeding the fear mentally.

As lightworkers we are apt encounter resistance from people who fear or misunderstand our motives. We must not react to their fears with anything but love and light, otherwise we give power and reality to fear.

Lightworkers are able to manifest and heal anything … if they hold the essence of Love.

Every instance in which you have experienced pain can serve as our ‘teacher’ helping us to learn, grow and find ways to live in peaceful happiness. Our hard-won lessons while here on Earth are also valuable in our roles as ‘Lightworkers’. Because we have experienced pain, we are able to feel compassion for those who become our clients, students, friends and associates.

As lightworkers, our mission depends upon our learning how to stay centered in our higher-self’s love. Our promise to help the world obligates us to give our ego a restraining order and to choose thoughts of love instead of thoughts of guilt and fear. We must be willing to let go of our petty ego-based concerns so that we can focus our entire mind on our tasks.

As a lightworker you were born to perform healing functions. Some lightworkers will be attracted to and involved in emotional healing, physical healing, research, teaching, writing, the arts, counseling and the like.

Lightworkers who are called to do spiritual healing will be working in the true-self world - therefore, our focus is not so much on actions, or doing treatments as such. Our job is to help others change from ‘ego’ to ‘true-self’. Lightworkers are also able to call upon angels and holy masters to evoke healing.

Your inner-guide will lead you to the place and healing modality or role where you belong. You will know whether you are supposed to get training or educational preparation/certification. If you are, then your inner-guide will lead you to the right teacher, course or school. Your guides and the Universe will help you to afford the necessary course and lesson fees.

In time, the people who will be your clients and students will be led to you through their own inner-guides.

Don’t worry about how you will learn to do your lightworking function - just trust that you will.

Each lightworker receives their own unique assignments in regards to how to help in the healing of the world.

Lightworkers may be called upon to do healing work on either the ‘ego plane’ of energy and matter, or the true-self’s spiritual plane. In energy healing work, you use your natural psychic attunement abilities to see and feel your client’s energy centers. Your energy work may also incorporate psychic healing in which you tune into your client’s emotions and thoughts that are creating ‘problems’. Energy work also includes mediumship which involves working with the energy fields of deceased people who may be affecting others.

A lightworker’s purpose in conducting psychic readings is different from the image of a parlour-style fortune-teller. Lightworkers are here to fulfill healing functions. Psychic abilities and communication help to hear, see, feel and/or know the source of someone’s emotional and/or physical distress, enabling one to offer and give the relevant healing/s.

**

It is important to take deep breaths, as his is how the spirit world transmits information to us.

**

It is very important to watch your thoughts about other people. All spiritual texts emphasize that the way we think about others instantly affects the way we think about ourselves. How you think and treat another is how you think of yourself. Therefore, consciously work at looking and treating others with the same sort of respect that you wish to feel towards yourself.

**
GROUP HEALING PRAYERS

Prayers’ power to heal has been widely documented and there is a great deal of scientific evidence and medical research about prayers remarkable curative powers. While one person’s prayers alone can heal any condition, there is a lot of evidence that group prayers effect remarkable healings.

One singular prayer is like one light beam, whereas when we join our single prayer with that of others with the same intent, our prayers combine to shine a much brighter light.
